Privacy. What this website collects, and why.
This notice covers Torna’s own website and its contact form. It doesn’t cover the booking websites we build for hosts.
The short version
- This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Its fonts and video come from our own hosting, not from other companies.
- We keep what you send through the contact form, and use it only to reply to you and follow up.
- We never sell your details or share them for marketing.
What the contact form keeps
When you send the form, we keep what you entered: your name, email address, how many homes you have, your booking system, your website or Airbnb page, your message and whether you asked for the demo site. We also keep the time you sent it and your browser’s user agent, the line of text that names your browser and device.
To stop one connection sending the form over and over, we count messages per IP address. The count is stored under your IP address for the current hour only. It expires within two hours, and the database then deletes it automatically. Your IP address is not stored with your message.
We may also get a copy of your message by email, sent through Amazon’s notification service (Amazon SNS).
We use these details because you asked us to get in touch.
Where it’s kept
Your message is stored, encrypted, in a database run by Amazon Web Services in its Frankfurt region in Germany, and only we can reach it. The database keeps backups for 35 days.
Visiting the site
Like any website, ours has to receive your IP address and the details your browser sends with each request, such as its user agent and language, to deliver the pages. The site runs on Amazon Web Services (Amazon CloudFront and Amazon S3). We don’t keep logs of visits. Our firewall counts requests per IP address to block abuse, and Amazon Web Services keeps a sample of recent requests, with their IP addresses and headers, for up to three hours.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry for as long as we need it to talk with you and follow up. Ask us to delete it and we will. It then leaves our backups within 35 days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Send your request through the contact form with the email address you used before, and we’ll reply by email. If you live in the UK or the European Union, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this notice, we’ll publish the new version here with its date.
